To read:

  1. Prof. Jennifer Petriglieri’s Couples that Work enlighten us on data-driven insights about how dual-career partners negotiate and orchestra thriving in their professional and personal lives.

  2. Prof. Nir Eyal’s Indistractable presents the hidden psychology driving us to distraction.

  3. Prof. Dolly Chugh’s The Person You Mean to Be  shares scientifically-backed tactics for how good people fight bias in organizations in all its forms.

  4. Prof. Adam Grant’s Think Again thoughtfully makes the case for how we should rethink our assumptions and approach conversations and information with more open-minds.

  5. Caroline Bologna generously researched and compiled this list of 35 books for parents who want to teach kindness and empathy to their kids. Seems quite timely.


To listen:

  1. Malcolm Gladwell’s eclectic new season of his Revisionist History podcast considers idiosyncratic and influential features of our society that you might have never considered. Pure edutainment.

  2. Prof. Adam Grant’s short audiobook, Power Moves, combines stories of leaders with a thought-provoking review of some of the research on power.

  3. Radiolab's More Perfect podcast presents edutaining lesson and stories about the U.S. Supreme Court and Constitution.

To watch:

  1. Prof. Christine Porath’s TEDxtalk on the costs and neutralizers of rudeness at work

  2. Prof. Theresa Glomb's TEDx talk on science-backed ways to make work better

  3. Prof. Avi Kluger's compelling TEDx on the value of listening and how to fight its enemies

  4. In his Teen's Choice Award acceptance speech, Ashton Kutcher lays down several truths for how to find opportunities, be sexy, and build your own life.


To learn from cool science:

  1. Compelling evidence showcased which leaders have saved more of their citizens’ lives from COVID-19 (and why).

  2. Still cheating sleep (like me)? New neuroscience shows that sleep deprivation can impede our synapses from firing properly (i.e., cognitively slows us down).

  3. A great evidence-based reminder of how and why time is an important resource to use thoughtfully during negotiations, especially when negotiating across cultures.

  4. Our perfectionism has increased over time and why we need to fight the façade of perfect

  5. Stressful commutes directly harm our work motivation and productivity

  6. Overparenting adolescent kids harms their leadership development!

  7. Reasons why it is more challenging for women to delegate work and what to do about it
